Module 14
£29.99
Module 14 teaches the two sounds that the letters ‘age’ can make depending on how many syllables the word has, as well as the three phonics associated with the spelling choice ‘ou’. For example, as heard in the words ‘house’, ‘youth’ and ‘couple’. The next two spelling choices ‘au’ and ‘aw’ are the third and fourth spelling choices in the MSL structure for the phonic (or) and pupils are given strategies on how to make the correct spelling choice. The final spelling choice in this Module is ‘ea’ with the three associated phonics heard in the words ‘head’, ‘seat’ and ‘break’. Teachers are given advice on how to help pupils associate this spelling choice with particular groups of words, starting with ‘seat (e)’ as this group has the largest selection of words.
